Lab24, Canal 24 horas de TVE «A sea to research from Mallorca»

This resource is currently available only in its original language

Natural resources, the evolution of fishing, marine currents or the interactions between organisms that inhabit small islands are some of the research lines carried out at the Mediterranean Institute of Advanced Studies of Mallorca.

The studies developed at this research center are part of the strategy of global change and interaction with society. In addition, the special characteristics of the Mediterranean region make it possible to extrapolate many of its conclusions to other areas of the planet. IMEDEA is a mixed institution coordinated by the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) and the University of the Balearic Islands (UIB). We visited its facilities, among which is a lighthouse located in an unspoilt area, Cap Salines, which has been converted for coastal research.
