The experts met today at the Campus UIB
Dr. Llorenç Huguet, rector of the UIB, and Dr. Carles Manera, President of the Economic and Social Council of the Balearic Islands, in conjunction with the members of advisory board of the study, full professors Andreu Mas Colell, Enric Banda, Emilio Ontiveros and Enric Tortosa have explained the content and progress achieved of the working groups on the following topics: Demography, Science and Technology, Industry, Climate Change, Digital Transformations, Education, Infrastructure, Quality of Work and Social Welfare.
This will constitute a tool for reflection and a strategic proposal for public administrations in their policy-making tasks and a solid benchmark in terms of strategic plan development and legal certainty for the different economic and social agents within the Balearic civil society.
CES will provide data related to the R&D, the assessment of the RIS-3, the tourism model, the impact of robotization on the employment and its treatment for future collective negotiations, and the alignment of other regional strategic plans, while the UIB will study the demographic scenarios of the H2030, the industry plan, clusterization, and will contribute with data related to climate change, robotics, and the new knowledge economy, carrying capacity, infrastructure planning, and mobility, education. In this sense, the institutions commensurate the definitive content of the study.
Prior to the informative round, at 10.30 am, the signing of the UIB-CES collaboration agreements took place in the same hall. Specifically, for the framework agreement and collaboration agreement for the CES H2030 study.
